About Sightron’s Simplicity

Sightron is one of the leading companies in the industry. Having spent nearly three decades in the business, the company has become a synonym for dependable optical products and is particularly popular among sport shooters. What separates Sightron from the competition is their incredible vision. Unlike many optical giants whose marketing budget puts their development resources to shame, this Japanese company knows what truly matters. Their business model puts emphasis on continuous research and technological advancement, leaving no room empty for frills and fanfares. Sightron lets their products speak for themselves.

About the SIII Series

Many outdoor enthusiasts agree that when it comes to high-quality optics paired with reasonable pricing, the Sightron SIII series is the clear winner in this price class. Customers can have their pick from a huge variety of riflescope models that sell for around 800 to 1800 euros. These models are suitable for long-range shooting. CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and given a smooth black matte finish, all Sightron SIII riflescopes are built around a one-piece 30-millimeter tube for maximum ruggedness. The Japanese brand has developed the ExacTrack Precision Windage and Elevation™ system that ensures total repeatability with accurate P.O.I., no matter if your SIII riflescope is set at or off zero.

Looking at the optical properties, we can see that Sightron used ED glass. This lens material is known for super low dispersion and reduces chromatic aberration to a minimum. Not only that, ED glass produces incredibly bright images in sharp detail. The external lens surfaces of these riflescopes are then reinforced with multiple coatings. Sightron’s Zact-7 Revcoat™ varnish makes the precision-ground glass of the objective and eyepiece lens super light-permeable. With 91% light transmission rate, these scopes won’t let you down in a low-light environment.

Sightron further expanded the successful SIII series by adding the SIII Tactical model family.

These riflescopes have a first focal plane reticle configuration (the reticle size does not in/decrease with the change in magnification). Superfine on the lowest magnification, the reticle won’t cover too much of the target even when the scope is set to the highest magnification power available. The adjustments per click are either 0.1 MIL or ¼ MOA, depending on the specific product within the family. MIL models come with an elevation adjustment range of 23 MIL, and MOA scopes have the range of 80 MOA.

Although these models are not engineered for the laser point precision demands of target shooting, they are more than suitable for tactical use. Impact and recoil-tested to withstand some of the strongest calibers, Sightron SIII Tactical riflescopes won’t crack under pressure.

The last major series change happened in 2019 when Sightron updated their SIII Tactical model family. The newest models now come with zero-stop tactical turrets.

All Sightron SIII riflescope models are produced in Japan and come with a lifetime warranty.

About the 6-24×50 FFP Tactical Model

With only 705 grams to its name, Sightron SIII 6-24×50 FFP Tactical packs quite a punch.

The 6-24x magnification and 4x zoom factor make this scope especially useful when taking shots at longer distances.

The scope has exposed tactical turrets with finely etched markings. Both elevation and windage turrets are of the multi-turn type and have a turn indicator underneath. The turrets are tactile with audible clicks. That means you’ll be able to make faster adjustments than ever before.

Note that since this specific model was engineered before 2019, it does not feature zero-stop and locking functions.

The parallax turret is especially nice. Designed without the often redundant or even confusing distance markings, this side-focus turret allows for intuitive parallax corrections and glides smoothly into the desired position. The parallax is adjustable from 36.5 meters to infinity.

Sightron SIII 6-24×50 FFP Tactical is resettable to zero and was built to handle extreme weather conditions and rough handling. The internal construction of the riflescope is filled with dry nitrogen gas to eliminate internal fogging and water damage.

Even though the Mil-Hash reticle is not meant for precision shooting, even at 24x magnification the Sightron SIII 6-24×50 is accurate enough to satisfy the vast majority of demanding long-range and target shooters.

The scope sports black matte finish and the golden-colored markings that are etched into the aluminum housing give this unit a sleek and elegant look. That is another thing that separates SIII 6-24×50 from the post-2018 models that have standard white markings.

While many of Sigtron’s competitors heavily rely on selling complementary products for their optics, this long-range riflescope comes with many goodies already in the box.

The thick neoprene scope cover is made in the USA and will protect your scope against water damage and dirt. Even better, Sightron decided to provide their customers the suitable sunshade by including them with the SIII Tactical riflescope purchase.

Talk about added value. Set your sights on Sightron.
