Hunter Lovrenc Avsenek found a dead wild boar in LD Begunjščica. According to his assessment, the wild boar was killed without any visible injuries or signs of shooting, otherwise in a severely degraded condition. Depending on the current atmospheric temperatures, the decomposition is also accelerated. Given the size of the offal, the hygienist estimated that the pig lay for a couple of days. According to J. Avsenek, from Saturday to Sunday, when a herd of pigs was present nearby and were recorded by a hunting camera.

The wild boar was found in a wooded area at least 1 km away from the nearest settlement. Avsenek adds that in LD Begunjščica and the neighboring LD, no shots have been recorded on wild pigs in recent weeks.

The hunters acted in accordance with the procedure for finding a dead wild boar. The find was reported to 112, then they called the veterinary administration and sent a hygienist, who took the corpse away and disinfected the location accordingly.
